Dexur analysts recently studied 2016 inpatient pneumonia discharges from U.S. Medicare enrollees and found that Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta had the lowest average length of stay for DRG-193 out of any major Georgia hospital with a 3.27 day average length of stay. DeKalb Medical Center - North Decatur, located in Decatur, GA ranked 2nd with an average LOS of 4.2 days and Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton ranked 3rd with a 4.28 day average length of stay. Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Augusta, GA and Redmond Regional Medical Center in Floyd, GA tied for 4th lowest average length of stay in Georgia with an average LOS of 4.33 days at the DRG level.
