A study on 2016 Medicare inpatient discharges conducted by Dexur analysts shows that Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville reported the lowest skilled nursing facility (SNF) discharge rate for gastrointestinal hemorrhage out of all hospitals in North Florida at 10.6%. Two hospitals in Gainesville ranked 2nd and 3rd in the region; University of Florida Health Shands Hospital and North Florida Regional Medical Center accounted for SNF discharge rates of 12.22% and 12.24%, respectively. Bay Medical Center Sacred Heart, located in Panama City, ranked 4th with a 13.43% rate and Baptist Hospital in Pensacola ranked 5th with a 14.1% rate. All other hospitals in the region had a SNF discharge rate higher than 15% during the analyzed time period.
