Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston had the lowest index hospital average length of stay (LOS) among Florida hospitals for red blood cell disorder discharges at only 1.87 days, according to a Dexur study of Medicare inpatient claims data from CMS between 2013-2016. This made Cleveland Clinic Florida the only hospital in the state with an average LOS below 2 days. Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, located in Destin, ranked 2nd at 2.12 days while Florida Hospital Zephyrhills in Zephyrhills ranked 3rd at 2.28 days. Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville ranked 4th at 2.37 days and Englewood Community Hospital ranked 5th with an average LOS of 2.42 days.
