The Texas Hospital Association (THA) is proud to announce its endorsement of Dexur, a leader in healthcare analytics and quality improvement, to provide advanced services to its member hospitals. This collaboration underscores THA's commitment to driving excellence in healthcare through innovative technology solutions.

Alex Huff, Vice President of Health Technology Innovation at THA, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership, stating, "Dexur's unique technology architecture and AI-driven capabilities represent a significant leap forward in our ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of care across Texas at a dramatically cost-effective price. Their comprehensive approach, from data sourcing to predictive analytics and incident management, aligns perfectly with our vision for a future where healthcare providers can proactively address challenges and improve patient outcomes."

Nik Rao, CEO of Dexur, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the mutual benefits of the partnership. "Working with THA allows us to bring our unified AI-driven Quality, Safety, Risk, and Incident Management solutions to a broader network of hospitals, facilitating significant improvements in healthcare delivery. Our platform's ability to provide comprehensive program-to-case analysis, predictions, and guidance tailored to each hospital's needs is a game-changer in achieving the highest standards of patient care. From today, Texas Hospitals do not have to pay separately for various solutions and do repetitive work across myriad systems."

As part of Dexur’s partnership with THA, Dexur is now offering a free trial of Monthly CMS Star Rating guidance snapshots from Dexur’s Quality Module to THA Members. As part of the Trial, THA Member Hospitals can submit some of their internal data (e.g. NHSN Safety Data, HCAHPS, etc) and Dexur can ingest this data and provide monthly guidance snapshots on your Hospital’s CMS Star Rating 12-18 months in advance of the final CMS Published data. The snapshot will have the overall CMS Star Rating and its key domains such as Readmissions, Mortality, HCAHPS, Safety, and Timely and Effective care. In 2023, our annual predictions for the CMS Star rating achieved an accuracy rate of 98%.

Dexur's services for THA hospitals are poised to transform healthcare quality management with features like comprehensive program-to-case analysis, predictions and guidance for future performance, AI-powered simulations, and an AI Advisor for automated insights. These tools will enable hospitals to not only anticipate future challenges but also to engage in proactive planning and quality improvement initiatives.

The partnership also emphasizes cost-effectiveness, collaboration, and benchmarking as key components of Dexur's value proposition, ensuring that hospitals can efficiently share insights and learn from one another. Beyond focusing on immediate quality measures, Dexur's approach also aims at improving cross-program performance, offering a holistic improvement in healthcare quality that extends beyond traditional metrics.

Dexur's collaboration with THA brings a suite of advanced capabilities to Texas hospitals aimed at enhancing performance and quality outcomes at a lower cost. These capabilities include:

  1. Comprehensive Program-to-Case Analysis: Offering a top-to-bottom view that starts with a cross-program overview (including CMS Star Rating, Leapfrog, VBP, HRRP), then delves into specific programs (such as CMS Star Rating), further narrows down to individual domains (like Readmissions), and finally drills down to specific measures (e.g., COPD Readmissions), culminating in detailed insights at the case/event/encounter level. This approach provides a granular, holistic perspective of performance, facilitating targeted interventions and improvements.

  2. Predictions and Guidance: Hospitals will receive forecasts and advice for their CMS Star Ratings, HRRP, Leapfrog, VBP, MSPB, and other measures, looking one to three years ahead. This forward-looking perspective is crucial for strategic planning and improvement.

  3. Simulations: Both manual and AI-powered simulations will be provided, offering pathways to achieving a CMS 5-star rating, improving Leapfrog scores, avoiding HRRP penalties, and maximizing VBP payouts. These simulations allow hospitals to explore various scenarios and outcomes.

  4. AI Advisor: Automated insights and early warning alerts regarding quality measures will be generated. This feature helps hospitals proactively manage their performance metrics and implement timely improvements.

  5. Dashboards and Reporting Software: Consolidating all relevant measures (such as readmission rates, mortality, and HCAHPS) will be provided in one place. Additionally, tracking of disparate data sources will be facilitated to measure progress against goals and actions, offering a comprehensive view of performance.

  6. Goal Setting: Hospitals can set realistic and strategic goals based on simulations and organizational priorities. This alignment ensures that teams are focused and coordinated in their efforts to achieve improvements.

  7. Evidence-based Quality Management: Dexur's platform will track actions and interventions to confirm their effectiveness in meeting set goals. This approach ensures that the measures taken are data-driven and result-oriented.

  8. AI-based Risk Factor Identification: Using advanced AI algorithms, the platform will automatically identify risk factors impacting quality measures. This capability allows for more nuanced and targeted interventions.

  9. Best Practices: Hospitals will have access to expert-curated research and best practices for enhancing quality outcomes. This knowledge base is crucial for informed decision-making and adopting proven strategies for quality improvement.

  10. Incident and Case Management: Implementing a robust system for tracking and managing incidents and cases, enabling hospitals to efficiently identify, investigate, and resolve risk, quality, and safety issues. This system ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, facilitates continuous improvement, and enhances overall patient safety and care quality.

  11. Chart Abstraction Module: Dexur's chart abstraction software enhances its AI-driven unified platform, offering hospitals a comprehensive solution for quality and risk management. This integration advances healthcare management by streamlining data abstraction, improving operational efficiency, and providing deep AI-driven insights for better compliance and performance in programs like CMS Star Rating and Value-Based Purchasing.

  12. Dexur's AI-powered Medical Coding Auditor: Dexur’s Coding Auditor uses AI to identify coding opportunities that may impact quality (e.g., Risk Adjusted Rates) and revenue outcomes. The AI system proactively identifies missing codes, ensuring no discrepancies remain in the claim file submission, thereby optimizing the accuracy and completeness of medical coding for enhanced financial and quality performance.

  13. Dexur's Peer Review: Peer review upholds care standards by evaluating colleagues' work, ensuring compliance, and fostering collaboration. Dexur's Unified Solution streamlines this process with a comprehensive platform for automated data collection and analysis. It enhances collaboration, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports performance improvement, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes and provider success.

Through these capabilities, Dexur and THA are set to revolutionize how hospitals approach quality improvement and performance management, driving significant enhancements in healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
