Dexur studied Medicare Claims data for the second quarter from 2016 to 2019 and released information regarding different home health agencies in the U.S. The analysis revealed that Encompass Home Health of Idaho witnessed a considerable decrease in their revenue per episode in Q2 2019 when compared to the same quarter in 2016. While the revenue per episode of the agency in Q2 2016 was $3,650, by Q2 2019, this amount decreased by 28.05%, to $2,626. In fact, post-2016, the revenue generated, per episode, saw a consistent decrease; from $3,650 in Q2 2016, it reduced to $3,240 in Q2 2017, and further, in Q2 2018, it fell to $3,042. The total episodes recorded for the same period show a mixed trend; while it increased from 776 in Q2 2016 to 961 by Q2 2017, post-2018, there was a significant fall in the total episodes. While in Q2 2018, the agency recorded a total of 1,126 episodes, this became 591 by the end of the second quarter of 2019.
