Recent Dexur analysis on CMS claims data found that Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis accounted for the most spine discharges for U.S. Medicare enrollees between January and December of 2016. Abbott Northwestern's 1,006 discharges made up just over a half percent of the nation's total discharges and the hospital saw over 130 spine discharges more than the nation's next highest volume hospital.
