McLeod Regional Medical Center Discharge Rate to Skilled Nursing Facilities is 3% Lower than the State’s Average

Dexur's recent analysis of CMS Medicare claims data for the time period of January 2016 through December 2016 showed that McLeod Regional Medical Center, in Florence, South Carolina, discharge rate to skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) was lower than the state and national averages by 3.54% and 7.18%, respectively. Dexur identified Medicare inpatient discharges, discharges to SNFs, and the percentage of SNF discharges at the national, state, and individual hospital level. SNF discharges are an important metric that healthcare professionals can use to determine the population of patients a hospital serves, as well as the average quality of care that is reached at point of discharge for a hospital.
