Dexur’s analysis of the most recently available CMS claims data between January-December 2016 shows that St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma earned 11.97% lower revenue per patient day compared to the state’s average and 19.82% lower revenue than the nation’s average. Dexur identified Medicare inpatients’ total payments, total days, and total payments per day at the national, state, and individual hospital level. These metrics are commonly used to compare cost of medical care across the country. Below is a graph highlighting the higher volume hospital divisions and the payment per day for each at the hospital, state and national level.
