Dexur’s analysis of the Medicare Claims data from 2016 to 2019 revealed a 33.6 percent decline in the revenue per stay recorded for NHC HealthCare Charleston, in Q3 2019 as compared to Q3 2016. The skilled nursing facility that recorded an average revenue of $10,754 per stay in Q3 2016 experienced a significant drop to $7,140 in Q3 2019.

From the graph above, it can be observed that the revenue per stay recorded for the facility follows a relatively steady pattern from Q3 2016 to Q3 2018, reporting a marginal change of 2 percent over two years. However, in the next year, the revenue per stay of the facility underwent a significant fall, wherein the value plunged from $11,060 in Q3 2018 to $7,140 in Q3 2019. The total stays recorded for the facility also followed a similar pattern from 2016 to 2018.
