Dexur analyzed the Medicare Claims data from Jul 2016 to Sep 2019 and found that Lincoln Surgical Hospital’s inpatient revenue per day increased by 61.76% for the corresponding quarter from $4,883 in Q3 2016 to $7,899 in Q3 2019. Located in Lincoln, NE, the hospital performs more than 11,000 surgeries per year. Lincoln Surgical Hospital’s revenue per day was more than triple the national and state averages. In the third quarter of 2019, Lincoln Surgical Hospital’s revenue per day was 211.96% more than Nebraska’s, at $2,532. The national average of $2,365 was also lower than the hospital’s revenue per day by 233.99%.

The surge in revenue per day from Q3 2017 at $5.615 to $7,779 in Q3 2018 came up to 38.53 percent. The increase was considerably higher from 2016 to 2017 for the congruent quarter. From revenue per day of $4,883 in Q3 2016 to $5,615 in Q3 2017, the percentage increase was 14.99. The revenue per day percentage increase for Q3 2018 and 2019 was lesser in comparison to the previous quarters. From $7,779 in Q3 2018 to $7,899 in Q3 2019, the revenue increased by 1.54%.
